Expressions & gestures

Unclaw’s expression system is built from captured human performances, not canned animation loops. Your companion’s face is driven by the meaning of what she’s saying, and by the rhythms real faces have.

  • Emotions arrive like human ones. Surprise flashes in a fraction of a second: she’ll gasp before the surprising sentence starts. Warmth spreads slowly, and a grin builds the way real grins do.
  • She speaks with her whole face. Brows lift at the start of phrases, her head rides the melody of her voice, questions raise her brow and tilt her head, and finished thoughts settle with a small nod.
  • She blinks like a person: at the ends of sentences, not on a timer.
  • She has an inner life between turns. Idle isn’t frozen: micro- expressions, small glances, a breath, occasionally a yawn if the hour is late. When you start talking, she visibly attends: small nods while she listens.
  • She looks away to think. Starting a considered answer, she’ll glance up and away for a moment, like anyone reaching for a thought.

The face and body respond to direct requests. These are real abilities, not chat flavor:

Ask She does
“Wink at me” Winks
“Look to your left” / “look up” Turns her head
“Dance!” Dances
“Blow me a kiss” Does exactly that
“Wave hello” Waves
Tell her great news Celebrates with you

Moods carry through: a companion who just heard something sad will still carry a trace of it into the next reply: emotions decay naturally instead of switching off.
